Practice Excellence Awards
The awards look to recognise practices that have demonstrated their excellence in the profession during the last twelve months. The awards seek to reward firms that have provided the highest quality of service to their clients, adding significant competitive advantage.
The awards in this section is judged against six key criteria:
[1] Profitability/Growth:
Demonstrating financial improvement of the firm in the past twelve months, indicating changes in fee income, sources of income and profits per equity partner. Providing evidence of winning new clients and how this was achieved as well as client retention and client base growth, including an increase in average client value.
Demonstrating evidence of meeting or exceeding the requirements and expectations of internal and/or external customers. Consistently meeting or exceeding challenging objectives to ensure the highest quality of provision of accountancy services. Demonstrating a quality approach through organisational values and working practices
Demonstrating quantifiable performance improvements for clients through the achievement of key objectives.
Demonstrating the use of innovative approaches or technologies to enhance the quality of service provided to clients to improve performance for clients and provide unique services setting the firm apart from competitors. Use of innovative techniques, resources or technologies to acquire and retain clients and/or develop professionalism within the firm. Providing evidence of strategic rethinking of the practice’s service and approach to its own business model and clients.
Demonstrating evidence of a firm’s employees view as a great place to work; that values the role of accountancy and the professionalism of the staff that provide accountancy services, offering career and skills development, reward and recognition for personal achievement and industry-leading employment benefits.
Demonstrating evidence of bringing benefits to a deserving group or the wider community – an educational, charitable or socially responsible aspect that goes beyond the core goals of the firm and or/ evidence of environmental responsibility for the firm and/or clients of the firm in one or more of the following areas: reducing energy consumption, shrinking carbon footprints, reducing waste, cutting raw material usage or motivating positive change in attitudes.
Independent firm of the Year, South East England
Awarded to the firm in South East with turnover up to £3m that demonstrates how the firm has added significant value to its clients and across all service areas . The winning firm will show how the services it has provided have been fundamental in enabling their clients to achieve their business goals. Areas covered include: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and West Sussex.
