Theale railway station, a few minutes walk from the park provides direct access to London Paddington taking 45 minutes, together with a local service to Reading and Newbury.

Reading (pronounced “red-ing”) is the largest town and single authority area in the county of Berkshire, England. As per the 2011 census, the Borough of Reading has a population of 155,698 and Reading/Wokingham urban areas forms a population total of 318,014. Reading is a major junction point for transfers within the National Rail system. £850,000,000 is currently being spent to improve Reading station, including additional platforms to improve services target completion of which by 2015. Reading station directly connects to both London Waterloo and London Paddington stations. Other local stations include Theale, Pangbourne, Tilehurst and Reading West. Reading has a net inwards flow of commuters each day estimated at 30,000 arrivals each morning vs 24,000 departures, despite it’s close proximity and commutability to London.
